The Santa Rosa is home of Sonoma County Fair and the "Wine Country Racing", horse racing here is always popular. The fair itself featured one of the largest and most spectacular themed flower shows in the country.
Meanwhile, the Jockey Club in Santa Rosa is Sonoma County's only establishment offering year-round parimutuel wagering on horse racing. Established in 1993, it features at-the-track odds and payoffs. Amenities include the Turf Club which offers food and beverage table service. The Jockey Club is a nonsmoking facility although outdoor patios are available for smokers.
